important Covid-19 Update
how does it spread?
Covid-19 can be transmitted through large respiratory droplets or contaminated surfaces that adhere to the mucous membranes of a person’s eyes, nose or mouth.
measures we're taking to keep you safe
We follow strict infection prevention and control procedures and will continue to do so. We follow the guidelines set by regulatory bodies and the PHO to provide you with the safest care possible. Our dental offices will reopen in stages in addition to implementing the following:
We will ask you about your travel history and screening questions to see if you have COVID-19 symptoms. Once you arrive, we may take your temperature with a touchless thermometer
We ask everyone entering the office to wear a face mask, except when you are being treated. If possible, we may ask you or someone accompanying you to wait in your car and call you once the room is ready for you.
All patients must wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or alcohol-based hand rub (while entering and leaving) present in various locations in our office.
We request you limit the number of people you bring with you for your appointment (except for small children and people who require assistance). Parents or caregivers are also subject to screening measures and may need to wear a gown, mask, face shield or gloves, while in the operatory/dentist’s room.
You will see dental staff wearing more protective gear than usual. This includes masks, face shields, masks and gowns
We have increased the time between appointments to allow proper physical distancing between patients. This allows us to disinfect operatories, floors, doorknobs and other essential items.
